LCCC Zooms!

Crystal Stratton cheers the impact of Zoom.
“Brilliant!” Sue Torney, LCCC Adjunct Faculty member offered this singular description as she participated in a Zoom training on Thursday in the CET. Zoom is the video conferencing solution purchased by LCCC and rolling out across the College in the coming weeks. Sue anticipates using Zoom in the hybrid classes she teaches in the SLPA program, bringing remote students to the classroom with ease and reliability. Erin Palmquist and Karen Reynolds are examining how Zoom can assist in archiving recordings of department and school meetings. Holly [Manning] is making BIG plans for Zoom in Communication classes this summer, Pam [Peters] will connect Cheyenne and Laramie classrooms with Zoom—sharing synchronous instruction with students in both locations, and Crystal [Stratton] wants to engage PTK with Zoom!

How can you Zoom? Watch the recording of the recent training at LCCC, learn more about the platform, or even take some free training offered by Zoom. All employees at LCCC can establish their Zoom accounts right now and all faculty (and soon, students) can access Zoom from within Canvas. Use Zoom one-on-one or with up to 500 participants. You can schedule your Zoom meetings in advance or you can start them on the fly—you even have your own personal always-available meeting link. Use Zoom from your desktop, a classroom, or a mobile device. Zoom is intended to bring folks together and it works!
