Change Course Dates in Canvas

Courses appear to students as “Future Enrollments” when the instructor has not published the course or if the course has not started.

Students can see their future courses from the global navigation (Courses > All Courses) but the course tiles do not appear on their dashboard. A course tile will only appear on a student's dashboard when the course is both published and started.

Faculty can choose to open a course early. In order to do so the course dates need to be changed in two places in Canvas. The two locations to adjust dates are in course settings under Course Details (1) and Sections (2).
