- Click into any of your Canvas courses.
- Select Settings from the Course Navigation.
- Choose Course Statistics from the menu on the right. This tabbed view provides aggregate information about the course.
- Select the Students tab and select a student by clicking their name.
- The menu on the right provides access to two excellent reports which are outlined below.
Student Interactions Report
The Interactions Report lists the student's name [1], the last time you interacted with them [2], the student's current grade (reflects all work graded to date) [3], the final grade for the student (assumes any ungraded work is a score of zero) [4], and if there are any submitted but ungraded assignments for the student [5]. Send a message to the student by clicking the message icon [6]. Sort any column by clicking the arrows at the top [7].
Access Report
The access report shows a summary of a student’s participation in a course. The report can show:

Great post Laura--there is another option for faculty who want to see the interactions for all of their students from all of their courses in just one report. From their Dashboard if faculty choose the View Grades button they will see the top level of the Interactions Report. This is a great place to get a quick look at the grade status of all students, and to see any ungraded submissions that are waiting for the instructor's attention.
ReplyDeleteThanks for highlighting these reports!

These are very useful. I stumbled onto the link under View Grades by accident one day! Thanks for sharing Laura and Kari!
