currIQūnet System Upgrades Summer 2019

currIQūnet logoIn preparation for the anticipated curriculum revisions associated with Guided Pathways, the CET has led many changes to LCCC’s curriculum development, review, and approval system, currIQūnet. Laura Sigsbury in the CET has been named the technical administrator. She worked closely through the summer with tech support at currIQunet and Academic Standards leadership in order to enhance the faculty experience in the system. Highlighted below are the most significant changes.
  • Public search was added to the login page and Single-Sign On (SSO) was been enabled to allow users to login with their LCCC account.
  • The ASC Review Team members can now use their own login so their review activity is transparent and easily referenced. This will streamline communication between faculty originators and reviewers.
  • Course and program forms allow users to add a co-contributor. This enables collaboration with anyone who has a currIQūnet account.
  • The Gernal Education application forms are no longer separate documents. They have been built into the new course form on the General Education tab.
  • Program and course hiatus proposals have been created for easier identification.
  • A new program sequencing tool which includes auto save has been added. This tool allows adding references to other top-level groups within a list. Instead of building or adding items multiple times to different block items, you now can build it once and then reference that item in other blocks as needed. See the Program Sequences Tutorial to learn how to use this tool.
  • Credit and contact hours calculations on the course form have been modified and are now functioning correctly.  This may cause users to encounter a save button that is active and freezes. If you encounter this issue please exit currIQūnet and report the issue to cet@lccc.wy.edu.
We anticipate currIQūnet use increasing through the Fall semester. While Laura will continue to address functoinality issues in the system, faculty are reminded that ASC representatives in each school are the source for currIQūnet "How to?" training.
