Portfolium is coming!

The CET is excited to announce that LCCC has purchased a license for Portfolium! This product will allow students and faculty to showcase their work during their time at LCCC and is interconnected with Canvas! The three primary features of Portfolium are:

1. Student Portfolios
   Students can pull in any completed assignments directly from Canvas through an interconnected setup and display it in their portfolio.
2. Pathways Badging
   Students can earn badges via Pathways (same name, different idea!) that would prove their skills in specific subjects. The CET is utilizing this feature in conjunction with the Essential Student Experiences Pathway team.
3. Program Assessment
   Portfolium’s ability to interconnect with Canvas allows for a robust back end Program Assessment tool which can be used to assess courses and programs.

Additionally, Portfolium is its own fantastic social network of students that range from a large list of universities and community colleges. Portfolium has also connected with a growing list of employers that can search for potential employees based on keywords and tags on student profiles.

Over the next few weeks the CET will be working hard to transfer user and course data from LCCC systems to Portfolium and connect the product with our Canvas installation. You’ll be notified soon regarding access and training opportunities!

Our vision in the CET is to have Portfolium become the default application for students (and faculty!) to showcase their work, develop connections with peers, and find potential employment. We're looking forward to sharing this with you!
