I have changed my approach to discussion items after taking an online Psychology course here, on campus. I would give kudos to the instructor but I am not sure if we can post names. He posed discussion questions that would make one think about what the subject matter for the week was. I have begun doing that in my courses and have had wonderful posts from my students.
