LCCC faculty and staff are eatin' up the Canvas webinars, developing skills and ideas in the new LMS and earning badges in the process. The two webinars that have gotten the most attention from LCCC users thus far are Leveraging Modules and Course Design Considerations. Leveraging Modules teaches users how to organize and structure content so that progress monitoring and scaffolded student access is very manageable. In Course Design Considerations instructors learn how to create student-centered spaces, how to chunk content into bursts of learning, and how to leverage the power in the Canvas toolbox.
LCCC users are quickly absorbing the Canvas webinars in their desire to learn more about the new LMS, and the training badges they are earning are piling up! As of tonight LCCC faculty and staff have earned more than 170 training badges. Laura Sigsbury leads all staff with a total of 31, and the faculty are led by Crystal Stratton and Janice Cheever who have a combined collection of 37!
