Navigate is Live!

As we all work towards our goal of ensuring student success, LCCC now has a new tool to assist in that endeavor: Navigate! One of the more challenging aspects of providing targeted support to our students is communication, but that challenge can now be addressed.

With Navigate all faculty and staff can record student engagement. Those reports can be meetings with a student, a note on behavior, and even an alert if the student is at risk of failing a course. Advisors and faculty can then check on a student’s report history to help determine the best path for support.

Students can use Navigate to contact faculty, staff, and advisors for help, then schedule an appointment. In the coming months, advisors and students can work together utilizing Navigate to prepare an academic plan and even register for classes!

With a team approach we can populate Navigate with information specific to a student that will help us help them achieve their goals. As the saying goes, “It takes a village!” Navigate can only help if we all work together for the benefit of our students.
