Search and Surf Like a Pro!

At the recent WY Innovations in Learning conference I learned with some of Wyoming's most celebrated educators. One resource I returned to campus with is this repository of ideas for strengthening your digital literacy. It is ripe with tips for searching quickly in Chrome (the default browser at LCCC), defining your Internet searches to cut back on the clutter, applying the CRAAP and FART tests (Yes, I had to look those up!), and curation tools to help define collections of information on the web. Use these ideas with students as you support their development of critical thinking skills while digesting digital content. American adults are spending an increasing amount of time engaged with digital media for learning, as a result of employment, and for entertaining.

Use these tips to assure you're finding your destination on the web efficiently. Share your discoveries by commenting below.
